Ice crystals and minuscule glaciers skim the edge of the Great Lake, near the pier, while waves crash on the still frozen sand. A lovely way to spend a slightly chilly Saturday evening in West Michigan.
With the fist day of Spring just around the corner, signaling new life and fresh starts, the chill of the sea's spray breathed fresh new energy into our souls. Architectural Walks through the Windy City on windy, wintery days are strangely warm and familiar.
We'd conquered the East Coast and are excited to be Mid-western again, only a two hour drive from the cleaner, quirkier version of NY. As winter fights to keep the reigns of the season game, memories of foreign-themed museums dotting the East Coast creep up.
We were the ones driving 4 hours just to see the oddities and natural histories preserved, pegged, and displayed. That couple who got politely scolded for petting the Siberian Wolf..... yeah.... but not before gathering some memories and new accents. |
